APPLAUSE database
Archives of Photographic Plates for Astronomical USE
The APPLAUSE database is a collection of digitized photographic plates from the archives of the Hamburger Sternwarte, the Dr. Karl Remeis-Sternwarte Bamberg, and the Leibniz-Institute for Astrophysics Potsdam (AIP)
Using a web portal, created with the Daiquiri framework, thousands of plate scans, together with scanned logbooks, pages and envelopes are available to the public. I developed the web application and implemented the storage backend.
